David Stewart - Nature Sound
A collection of natural wildlife sounds of bird, frog and mammal species. David Stewart is Australia's most renowned
wildlife sound recordist. Now based in Brisbane, David has spent the last 28 years 
travelling
throughout Australia amassing the most extensive collection of natural
bird, frog and mammal sounds in the country. David's digital collection
is fully documented and has been lodged with the Australian National Wildlife
Sound Collection, CSIRO in Canberra as his contribution to Australia's
National Heritage. The British Library, National Sound Archive also houses a large part
of the collection. In 2008 David provided his collection to the Macaulay Laboratory
of Ornithology, Ithaca, New York State. While David lived on the far north coast of NSW he
assisted the NSW National Parks & Wildlife Service and other government organisations by compiling
18 field survey CDs of rare fauna in NSW.
The CDs offered for sale here are David's absorbing presentations of
sound which allow the listener to experience a range of rainforest atmospheres
or become familiar with the amazing variety of sounds of many of
Australia's bird, frog and mammal species.
